Performance Upgrades in Perth
A good upgrade makes the car better to drive and does not cost you reliability. A bad one looks fast and breaks something six months later.
Prime Euro Services builds the first kind, in Ellenbrook, licensed as MRB8069.
Builds we have actually done
Audi S3, more power and a stronger driveline
An Audi S3 came in for a round of upgrades. We fitted a high-flow catalytic converter so the exhaust gases clear out faster, which lifts power and efficiency.
Then we did the part most people skip. We upgraded the tailshaft centre bearing, so the extra load runs through something stronger. We fitted a genuine tailshaft donut to keep the driveshaft lined up and the vibration down. We also added a heavy-duty under cover to protect the underside from road debris. Power and protection in the same visit. Read the full build.
Audi RS3 exhaust upgrade
An Audi RS3 came in for a performance exhaust. Better flow out means the engine draws more air in on the next cycle, and more air means more power. The note is better too. Read the full job.
VW Golf R on lowering springs
We fitted lowering springs to a MK7 Golf R. A lower centre of gravity means less weight shifting around, so the car leans less through a corner. Stiffer springs also cut weight transfer, which helps it get off the line and pull up. Read the full job.
Subaru WRX suspension upgrade
A Subaru WRX came in wanting a sportier stance without ruining the daily drive. We fitted quality lowering springs to the factory shocks. That gave a clean drop and sharper cornering while keeping the ride comfortable for Perth roads. Matching parts to how the car gets used beats fitting the hardest setup available and calling it an upgrade. Read the full job.
Exhaust upgrades
A performance exhaust helps the engine breathe out, which lifts power, and keeps air levels inside the engine where they should be.
Suspension and lowering
Lowering a car properly does four things:
- Less lean in corners, from a lower centre of gravity.
- Better handling. More stability, response and grip at speed.
- Better traction, because lowering usually goes with plus-sized wheels and shorter sidewalls.
- The stance, which is half the reason people do it.
The setup is what matters. Tell us how you use the car and we will match the parts to that.
Driveline and protection
More power means more load on everything behind the engine. That is why the Audi S3 build included a stronger tailshaft centre bearing and a genuine tailshaft donut, not just the exhaust work.
Same thinking on hard-working vehicles. On a Ford Everest we flushed the transfer case fluid during a full service. The transfer case feeds power to both axles, and old fluid in there gets expensive. Read the full job.
An engine that cannot breathe cannot make power
A Jeep Grand Cherokee came in with a completely clogged intake. No bolt-on upgrade fixes that. The engine could not get enough air, so power and acceleration dropped away. Cleaning the intake got the airflow back. Read the full job.
Same idea with the PCV valve on a Golf R MK7. When it fails, pressure builds and the car runs worse. We replaced it with a genuine Volkswagen part. Read the full job. Before you spend money on power, check the car can use it.
Why doing it properly matters
A Toyota Hilux came in with the brake pedal going straight to the floor. It had been lifted, but the brake lines were never extended to suit the new ride height and the brackets were not bolted down. Vibration wore a pinhole in a line and the fluid drained out. With no fluid, the brakes do nothing.
We fitted proper extended lines, mounted every bracket, bled the system and inspected the lot. Read the full job.
A modification is only as good as the parts around it. If you have bought a modified car, or had work done elsewhere, bring it in and we will check it over.

Questions we get asked
Will a lowered car still be comfortable?
It depends on the setup. On the Subaru WRX we paired lowering springs with the factory shocks so the ride stayed practical for Perth roads. Push it harder and you will feel more. That is a conversation to have before we order parts.
Do you only do European cars?
No. A Subaru WRX, a Toyota Hilux, a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a Ford Everest are all on this page.
I bought a car that was already modified. Can you check it over?
Yes, and it is worth doing. The Hilux above is exactly why. Whoever lifted it never extended the brake lines, and the owner had no idea until the pedal went to the floor.
